Checking this device…
1Pick slab corners
Choose two to four outside corners you can find on the real slab. Three or four spread around the house give the most accurate walls. Taps snap to the nearest corner in the model. Tap a chosen corner to remove it.
2Walk it on site
- Stand on the slab near corner A.
- Phone: put the ring on corner A and tap Mark corner A. Walk to each corner in turn (B, C, D) and mark it. Quest: point at each corner and pull the trigger.
- The house appears after two corners and lines up better with each extra corner. If a corner is blocked by a bin or stack of bricks, skip it.
- Check the fit readout. Every corner should be within a few centimetres. If one is far out, re-align and mark it again.
- Fine-tune with the nudge controls, then walk through.
Before you head to the block
- Set up on the phone or Quest you will take to site. The model and corners are saved in that browser only.
- Open this page once with internet before you go, and keep the tab open. It needs to download its 3D engine the first time.
- Take someone with you to watch for trenches, pipes and starter bars while you look at the screen.
- Quest: never leave the headset lenses facing the sun. Sunlight focused through the lenses can burn the screens. Overcast days and late afternoon also track better.
- Quest: the play boundary is smaller than a house. You can turn it off in developer settings, which is why the helper matters.
- If the walls slowly slide off the slab edges, tap Re-align and mark the corners again.

Room tour in VR
Pick a room from a floating list, fly there, and stand in the middle of it at real scale. Open this page in the Meta Quest Browser.

Checking for a VR headset…
1Start the room tour
In the headset a panel lists every room. Point at one and pull the trigger to fly there. You land in the middle of the room facing its best view, and can look all the way around.
Or start in a room:
2In the headset
- Pick a room
- Point at a room on the panel and pull the trigger. With hand tracking, pinch.
- Room list
- Press B or Y to show or hide it. When it is hidden, pulling the trigger brings it back.
- Turn
- Flick either thumbstick left or right to turn 30°, handy when seated.
- Travel
- Fly lifts you over the house with the roof off and glides you into the room. Jump fades out and in. Switch on the panel.
- Leave
- Exit VR on the panel, or the Meta button.
Sit on a swivel chair or stand in a clear space. You only look around in this mode, so there is no need to walk. If flying feels uncomfortable, switch to Jump.
